I have a desk job so I’m subject to chronic neck and back stiffness and pain. I try to keep a positive mental attitude first of all because I’ve learned that worrying and getting upset over things only makes my pain and life worse, so I just try to chill out.
I try to get out of my chair at regular intervals as I’ve learned that too much sitting or standing does lead to pain. I massage my neck at my desk and I also make it a point to go to the gym several times a week. Even if you have pain, it’s still important to stretch and exercise on a regular basis. In the long run, exercise is very beneficial and even if you don’t like exercising, you will enjoy the improved way you will feel after you do exercise.
